
Lan CHENG holds a Master of Social Science degree from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Sociology, Stony Brook University, State University of New York. Endowed with a comprehensive international education background, she has solid competence in academic reading and writing. She mainly delivers a series of Academic English courses, committed to cultivating students’ academic English expression ability and cross-cultural communication literacy. Her research focuses on the interdisciplinary integration of language education and social sciences. In teaching, she integrates critical thinking training and practical academic scenario exercises to help students broaden their international vision, improve comprehensive qualities, and adapt to overseas study and living scenarios. Adhering to the student-centered teaching philosophy, she adopts interactive teaching modes to stimulate students’ learning enthusiasm and facilitate their personal and professional development in the global context.
