As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, Hainan International College launched a dormitory visit and condolence activity to convey care and festive blessings to the 2026 incoming students and further strengthen communication between teachers and students. On September 18, Rui MA, Secretary of the Directly Affiliated Party Branch, Wei LUO, Deputy Secretary of the Directly Affiliated Party Branch and Vice Dean, Feng GUAN, Secretary of the Directly Affiliated Youth League Branch, together with counselors Hui GAO and Haoyang SUN, visited student dormitories and had face-to-face exchanges with freshmen.
As the holiday approached, Rui MA had cordial conversations with the students to learn about their study and living conditions since enrollment as well as their holiday arrangements. She encouraged the students to cherish their college time, adapt to the new study and living environment as soon as possible, and make reasonable plans for their academic study and personal growth during college. She also urged students to strengthen their safety awareness, abide by the relevant management regulations of the college and campus, pay attention to dormitory safety issues such as moisture prevention and standardized electricity use, and ensure personal and traffic safety when going out.
Wei LUO focused on learning about students’ recent academic performance, dormitory life and interpersonal relationships with peers. He patiently responded to students’ concerns regarding study and daily life. He encouraged students to communicate actively and help each other, build harmonious collective relationships through collective study and daily life, and engage in college life with a more positive attitude.
This dormitory visit not only brought festive warmth to the student residences, but also further narrowed the distance between teachers and students. For the Class of 2026 freshmen who left their hometowns to start their college life in Hainan, every greeting and communication from the College serves as heartfelt companionship on their growth journey. In the future, the College will continue to prioritize students in all educational work.
