From August 31 to September 2, Mingze LI, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President of the University, visited the Lingshui Li'an International Education and Innovation Pilot Zone in Hainan to conduct in-depth research and provide guidance on the work of Hainan International College.
At the faculty meeting of Hainan International College, Zhiming LIU, Dean of the College, delivered a report on key work progress, including freshman enrollment education and professional education, the improvement of rules and regulations for teaching operation and student management, the planning of postgraduate enrollment, the construction of academic atmosphere, and the development of scientific research platforms in the exclusive teaching and research building.
On behalf of the university, Mingze LI extended warm congratulations on the smooth enrollment of the first batch of students and sincere gratitude to all faculty members for their diligent dedication and hard work. He pointed out that Hainan International College serves as a crucial platform for the university to optimize its talent training layout, serve national strategies and expand its school-running space. He encouraged all staff to forge ahead with a proactive and enterprising spirit, earnestly implement all work arrangements, and translate the strategic blueprint into tangible school-running achievements.

During the inspection tour, Mingze LI paid visits to student dormitories. He also attended the opening ceremony at the college’s sub-venue alongside the 2026-cohort freshmen and presented school emblems to freshman representatives.

Mingze LI had in-depth exchanges with newly dispatched faculty members stationed at Hainan International College. He kindly inquired about their work and living arrangements after taking up their posts, progress in teaching and research, and practical difficulties they encountered. He earnestly listened to their opinions and suggestions on the college’s operational management, logistical support and future development plans. He urged all faculty members to adapt to the local school-running conditions in Hainan, take on responsibilities proactively, and actively explore distinctive approaches for talent cultivation and teaching reform, so as to contribute to the high-quality development of the university’s off-campus schooling initiatives.
In addition, Mingze LI conducted an on-site inspection of the exclusive teaching and research building project of the College’s Teaching and Practice Center. He received a work progress report from the construction contractor and communicated with on-site construction staff. He fully affirmed the steady and orderly progress of the project’s current construction work. It is reported that the project is being advanced as scheduled. Upon completion, the building will provide solid hardware support for the college’s teaching, scientific research and talent cultivation undertakings.
