On April 13, the handover meeting for off-site backup of electronic archives of Northeast Forestry University was held at Hainan International College. Liu Zhiming, Dean of Hainan International College, Ma Rui, Vice Dean of Hainan International College, Wang Yanhua, Director of the University Archives, together with relevant staff, attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Liu Zhiming extended a warm welcome to Wang Yanhua and her entourage and briefed them on the development and construction of Hainan International College. He noted that archival work constitutes an integral part of the university governance system. Hainan International College attaches great importance to archives security and administration, and will fully cooperate with the University Archives in the storage and preservation of off-site backed-up electronic archives.
Wang Yanhua introduced the overall progress of the university’s archival informatization and off-site backup initiatives, and stressed the significance of off-site backup of electronic archives for safeguarding the university’s vital digital archival resources. She stated that the University Archives will continue to provide professional guidance to Hainan International College and support the standardized development of its archival management.
During the meeting, both parties completed the formalities of signing and sealing the handover and acceptance registration form for off-site backup of electronic archives. Afterwards, the two sides held in-depth exchanges on collaborative support for archival management and defined the follow-up handover mechanism.
The successful completion of the off-site backup handover of electronic archives marks an important initiative of the university to keep pace with the development trend of archival management in the digital era and implement the requirements for building an archives security system. It further strengthens the security shield for the university’s archival information resources, and offers solid support for Hainan International College to improve its archival management capacity and internal governance system.
