From April 13 to 18, the 6th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE), co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the People’s Government of Hainan Province, was grandly held in Haikou. Invited to participate in relevant activities of the Expo from April 16 to 18, Hainan International College carried out enrollment promotion and image building via a combination of online and offline channels, attracting widespread attention.

Themed “Opening-up Guides Global Consumption, Innovation Drives a Better Life”, the 6th CICPE brought together more than 3,400 brands from over 60 countries and regions, making it the largest exhibition of premium consumer goods in the Asia-Pacific region. The Expo consisted of one main venue and two sub-venues. The main venue was located at Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center, featuring eight pavilions covering technological consumption, fashion trends, health consumption and other sectors. Sub-venues were simultaneously set up in Sanya and Boao, alongside a series of supporting events including new product launches and investment promotion briefings. Held in the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, this edition of the Expo serves as a vital international showcase following the customs closure operation of Hainan Free Trade Port.

During the Expo, Ma Rui, Vice Dean of Hainan International College, was invited to the live stream studio of the International Communication Convergence Media Center of Hainan Broadcasting Station for a special enrollment promotion session. She systematically introduced the university’s educational features, the college’s development positioning and talent training models, and fully presented the innovative practices and phased achievements of the college in serving national strategies and advancing international education.

Meanwhile, the college set up an information booth at the Expo venue. Together with college staff, Vice Dean Ma Rui engaged in face-to-face exchanges with visitors, prospective students and parents. She elaborated on the disciplinary strengths and talent training characteristics of Northeast Forestry University and patiently answered questions regarding enrollment policies, learning environment and other concerns, creating a vibrant atmosphere on site.

This participation in the 6th China International Consumer Products Expo marks a vital practice for Hainan International College of Northeast Forestry University to actively integrate into the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port and serve regional economic and social development, as well as a powerful measure for the College to deepen open education and expand enrollment influence.

In the future, relying on the university’s advantageous disciplines, Hainan International College will take root in Hainan and embrace the world. The College will explore new paths for high-level Sino-foreign cooperative education, build an international talent training highland with the characteristics of Northeast Forestry University, and contribute greater wisdom and strength to serving national strategies and the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.
