On the morning of December 5th, the Hainan Lingshui Li 'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone (hereinafter referred to as the "Pilot Zone") andNortheast ForestryUniversity held a deepening cooperation exchange meeting in Room 608 of the Comprehensive Office Building. Wu Haifeng, Secretary of the CPC Lingshui County Committee and Director of the Administration of the Experimental Zone, had an in-depth exchange with Song Wenlong, the president ofNortheast ForestryUniversity, on the in-depth cooperation betweenNortheast ForestryUniversityand Hainan International College. Liu Ming, member of the Party Committee and executive deputy director of the Administration of the Experimental Zone, and the heads of the Comprehensive Development Department and the Department of Foreign Cooperation and Exchange, Zhai Xuefeng, member of the Party Committee and vice president of our university, Xu Zhicheng, assistant to the president and director of the School Office, and the heads of Hainan International CollegeofNortheast Forestry attended the meeting.
Song Wenlong gave a brief account of our university, reviewed the course of cooperation between the two sides, and expressed gratitude to the Administration of the Experimental Zone for its support in all aspects of our school's operation in the experimental zone. He hopes that the two sides will expand the scope of cooperation in the next step, explore the specific content of cooperation in depth, and make efforts in internationalized education cooperation to achieve win-win development. The school will also actively seek new growth points around serving the economy and local needs of Lingshui County, Hainan Province, and contribute to the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
Wu Haifeng said that the administration of the Pilot zone attaches great importance to the construction of the Hainan International College of Northeast Forestry University. It will do a good job in supporting facilities such as teaching buildings, laboratories and logistics services according to the school's plan, and work hard to improve the satisfaction of teachers and students. It also welcomes more teachers and students of Northeast Forestry University to come to the pilot zone for teaching and research activities.
The two sides also had an in-depth exchange on other matters such as Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions and project applications, the operation and development of Hainan International College, the construction of exclusive buildings, scientific research, industrial cooperation, serving the county economy of Lingshui, and the construction of overseas learning centers.
During the research and exchange, the visitors also visited the university's forest museum, the university history museum and the National Key Laboratory of Forest Tree Genetics and Breeding.
