On January 19, Professor Александра Генриховна Куприянова from Saint Petersburg State Forestry Technical University of Russia led a delegation to visit Hainan International College. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on talent cultivation, scientific research cooperation and short-term student exchange programs. Wang Jinghong, Dean of the Landscape Architecture College, Liu Zhiming, Dean of Hainan International College, and Ma Rui, Vice Dean of Hainan International College, attended the meeting.
At the symposium, Dean Liu Zhiming extended a warm welcome to Professor Александра Генриховна Куприянова and her delegation. He comprehensively introduced the basic profile, academic programs, and the College’s progress in international talent cultivation and scientific research cooperation. Wang Jinghong, Dean of the Landscape Architecture College, reviewed the fruitful achievements of previous bilateral cooperation and expressed the willingness to further expand exchanges and collaborative initiatives in the future.
Professor Александра Генриховна Куприянова expressed gratitude for the sincere hospitality extended by Hainan International College. She presented an overview of Saint Petersburg State Forestry Technical University, highlighted its disciplinary advantages, and voiced strong enthusiasm for advancing in-depth cooperation with Northeast Forestry University in relevant academic fields.
Subsequently, both sides had thorough discussions on faculty and student reciprocal visits, joint postgraduate training, short-term research and study programs, and other cooperative initiatives.
After the meeting, accompanied by college officials, the delegation visited core teaching and living facilities of the pilot zone, including the library, laboratories, student dormitories and gymnasium, and gained a further understanding of the overall campus planning, teaching and research environment, and supporting facilities for international education.
This visit effectively enhanced mutual understanding between the two universities and laid a solid foundation for further in-depth cooperation. Both sides will continue to promote faculty and student exchanges as well as scientific research collaboration, jointly explore innovative models for international talent cultivation, and contribute to deepening higher education cooperation in forestry between China and Russia.
